Valle Crucis Conference Center – Weekend of July 26-28, 2019
Wild Herb Weekend is our annual conference, held in the beautiful high mountain location of Valle Crucis, NC in late July. There is something for everyone at this intimate little conference. Whether you grow herbs for a hobby, use herbs for healing, or want to start a commercial herb operation, you will find many interesting sessions and hands-on workshops and plant walks to participate in!

Topic: Exploring the use of Aromatherapy for You and Your Animal Friends
Date: July 25, 2019 (Thursday, 2:30-6: 30 pm)

This workshop will empower those wanting to learn about the therapeutic properties of essential oils and botanical bases and how they can be used safely with and around their animal friends. Students will learn how to incorporate the use of aromatics for emotional and physical well-being. Learn to ‘tune-in’ to the power of scent based on animal communication while being mindful of your animal friend’s sense of smell and the importance of working as a team.
Included in the presentation will be easy-to-use information applicable for skin and minor wound care, fear-based behavior and for use during times of grief and transition. The information is focused on use with animals but is also applicable to human aromatherapy.
With the rise of the use of essential oils with both humans and their animal friends, it is important to be mindful of safe use with everyone, but even more so with animals. This workshop offers both an easy and safe way to incorporate aromatherapy or hands-on self-care.
Students will receive:
- Aromatherapy products to use at home.
- Educational materials and handouts.
- Access to a PDF of Hydrosols for our Animal Friends.
- Insulated Storage/Travel Bag for your aromatherapy goodies.
- A certificate of attendance will be issued.
- CE (Continuing Education) (4) hours will apply to aromatherapists and licensed massage therapists.
- A $100.00 Discount Code towards Certification Course. Those who attend and complete this workshop will also receive a discount code to apply towards registration in the online Animal Aromatherapy Practitioner Certification Course(sm).
