This module will cover important safety cautions including: sensitization issues, phototoxic reactions, mucous membrane and dermal irritants as well as which essential oils to avoid during pregnancy and with certain health disorders such as epilepsy.

Aromatherapy Recipes for Therapeutic Blends

Although there are many different styles/formats in which an aromatherapy practitioner will conduct a professional session with a client, all will use some method to assess the needs of the client and develop an improvement plan for that particular individual.

This module includes a forms to be used for Health History & Follow-Up Intake Notes. These are the framework for building a case study and tracking results.

This course module assignment is to empower the student about the importance of an essential oil profile and gathering data on its use for future case study building. The assignment also encourages the use of the internet as a search tool for additional information (good and bad) that may be useful in expanding awareness on individual oils and carriers.

Students must submit five case studies pertaining to animal aromatherapy. Students can work with their own animal/s or a family/friend’s animal, or seek permission from a local animal rescue center, farm, etc.
